F A Q'S BLOG

If you're meeting with your wedding photographer your main objective is getting to know them. You'll be spending the majority of your day with them and it's important to feel comfortable and relaxed.

Find out what makes them unique.

There's no such thing as too many questions and don't be afraid to get personal.

Here's some FAQ's and my answers;

What equipment do you use?

I have 2 main cameras, a Sony 7aiii and a Canon r6. I also have 2 Canon 6d's, which are my backup cameras. I shoot the majority of a wedding with 2 prime lenses - a 35mm and a 85mm. I also bring my 24-105mm which I sometimes use on the dance floor and a macro lens. I bring a few flashes, a video light, lots of batteries and SD cards. And that's about it!

What do you do in your spare time?

My 3 boys take up most of my time. They are 19, 15 and 6, I am their Taxi lady, Cleaner, Cook and cheerleader, and I wouldn't have it any other way. My fur baby 'Wilfy' comes next on the list, and long woodland walks is something we all enjoy. I'm definitely an animal lover and I'm always happy when a bride mentions a doggy pic on the big day!

Outside family time, I love boxing at my local boxing gym and I'm always up for a lunch date with the girls!

Can I give you a list of important photo's we'd like to get?

Yes, Of course.

My style of photography is documentary and candid, so for the most part of your day I'll discreetly capture your day as it naturally unfolds.

By all means, if you have a list of family and friends group shots that are important to you, give me your must-have list and I will make sure you get the photos you want.

How would you describe your style?

Reportage. Candid. I create a visual story board of your day, with the colours and any themes running through your gallery.

I like to include all the small touches that makes your day unique and personal to you.

I would say my photography is true to colour, and although every photograph is individually edited, I keep the tone and colour as true and natural as possible, to create a timeless look.

My approach is discreet and unobtrusive, which means I can capture lots of candid images of you and your guests.

A touch of tradition comes into my style when creating the group shots and couple shots. This is when I offer guidance and direction.
